The price of freedom is eternal vigilance.
I take this to mean if we stop our efforts, we shall lose our freedoms.
If people choose to ignore the necessary steps to ensure freedom in their lives, then I will not be surprised when they lose either their freedom or their lives. Until one of those two things happens, I will continue to try and help people help themselves.
not sure about the marines, but in the army officers usually need a bachelors degree before getting a commission. so, if he enlisted when he was 18, he would have had to graduate college in about a year and a half to get 2 year long deployments. im not saying he *couldnt* have done that, im just saying hes *probably* a liar.
