I have been as guilty as anyone else at posting my "bad LEO experience", but some people just can't keep from crossing the line into blatant bigotry.
That was the same thin our instructor did. After I took the test I texted a friend from class and told her that our instructor's tests were a lot harder. The state is mostly vitals and scenarios, where our instructor's had a lot of physiology and what injuries and medications actually do. It helped me remember I though. Good luck!
I also lived out in SoCal, I am a huge fan of Adam-12 and Southland, and i've been a cop since 1994 and pay attention to what other departments' cars look like.
