Yahoo! sensationalizes Adam Lanza

This really pissed me off. The media plays a role in these mass shootings, splashing the perps name and pictures all over the place. It gives the next wacko the impetus to be just as (or more) famous...and the politicians want to take our guns in response.

I like the idea from Charles Heller at the JPFO who is requesting that every member of the media reporting on these mass shootings should say everything that happened except for the name of the shooter. This way, it may deter someone who wants the fame from copying since they would gain zero notoriety.

Now, the MSM would never do this but I think the principle is sound.

He discharges the weapons within city limits, WHICH IS AGAINST EXISTING LAW. He murders 26 people WHICH IS AGAINST EXISTING LAW. He commits suicide, WHICH IS AGAINST EXISTING LAW. Our ELECTED officials expect us to believe passing ANOTHER law banning guns, will protect us from the monsters which have been created ever since mind altering SSRI drugs were introduced to our youth! These psych-drug monsters are not concerned with breaking laws, they are only concerned with their drug-induced, mind-altered agenda. Gun ban laws only effect LAW ABIDING CITIZENS, and only serve to shift the balance of power into the hands of these psych-drugged murderers. The VOTERS know, Gun Control is NOT about GUNS, it IS about GOVERNMENT CONTROL! NO NEW GUN CONTROL LAWS! ENFORCE EXISTING LAWS! BAN SSRI DRUGS!

The "copy" idea is right there in this rag:
"Late Sunday, the Courant also reported that Adam may have felt that he was in direct competition with Norwegian mass murderer Anders Breivik, based on news articles about Breivik's 2011 crime they found in the Lanzas' home."

I think the MSM is an accomplice, at least.

It frustrates me when people blame the video games because he "reloaded often" without emptying a magazine.

The whole point to do so in games, is so that when you round a corner and are faced with a large number of enemies, you know you have a fully loaded magazine, and you don't have to worry as much about taking cover to reload in a firefight.

This should be common sense to most people, but apparently the video games taught him this.
