He's not using the NG against the citizens! They were being prepped to fill in for the necessary union slots that would open up if the union went on strike. Prison guards, etc. He's not proposing martial law for pete's sake!

My nephew, an E8 in the Guard, has been training troops for "Urban Warfare" for the last year. He has told me some very interesting stuff. Once troops are desensitized to fighting in homes/towns and then told that they are there to "Help the Police" they will do about anything. Remember the troops going door to door in New Orleans disarming citizens "For their own safety"? I recall a young troop being interviewed by a news crew about how he felt disarming law abiding citizens he said that he was just following orders. I can see dark times ahead. :noway:

I've read 2 articles now that say the NG will "respond to unrest."

Please tell me where you are reading that the NG will fill in for state workers.

Walker Says National Guard could Respond to Unrest, as State Employees Learn of his Budget Proposal

How bad does Gov . Walker think things will / can get that he thinks the NG being used in this way is a good idea ?

Well, the budgets he's cutting includes the police pension, so the NG may have to fill that roll, other wise the bakeries and donut shops will have no customers. It could bring down the entire economy! :yesway:
