Here is photo of what I found in my group of recently re-sized 38 spl brass. A reminder to check each one for damage. The damage was much more apparent after resize opened the split.
Seen a lot of those type splits over the years. More in 38/357 than 44/45lc. Always wondered if it had something to do with case diameter. I have some Remington 44 mags that I have been reloading since the 70s, nothing heavy but I have lost track of how many times they have been through a press.
Wow.... been there before, reloading requires a sharp eye that's for sure. It's so easy to make a mistake that could cause some real serious trouble. Good eye, and stay safe !
When I go to reload i put my safty glassed that are bi-focals with a 2x magnification. I bought them for wood working but they were almost too much but they wook really good for reloading where you need to check everything over as you go.
