    Sounds like they've accepted their fate and resigned themselves to living under a corrupt government. Whether they don't care, or they've accepted defeat, the result is the same. As long as the basic necessities are in place, along with a little entertainment (bread and circuses), life will continue to go on. I can think of nothing, short of a nuclear strike against us or an invasion by an enemy, that will substantially change the way government operates.

    A person resigning oneself to the reality that the federal government is crooked and both parties are always "pro-government" does not in any way whatsoever equal not caring or being unwilling to fight back.

    Everyone has their breaking point.
