Which lower to keep?

I managed to do some trading and wound up with a S&W M&P 15. I was actually trying to get an upper to go with the lower I built but wound up with a whole rifle. So now I have a touch of a dilemma. Should I keep the rifle strictly as a S&W rifle or should I slap it onto the Spikes lower I built and sell the Smith one? Any input is appreciated. I'm new to the AR game so my knowledge is pretty limited at the moment.

for the most part, a forged lower is a forged lower. If you prefer one rollmark over another so be it.

If the budget allows. Put a PSA upper on that Spikes lower and you will have a decent commercial spec AR in the S&W and a better spec AR in the Spikes/PSA rifle.

I still like AR types to have a forward assist....If the Spikes lower has this it should be your first complete rifle.

+1 on a forged lower being a forged lower. I mix and match all the time... no a whole lot of difference in any of mine. Customer service may be something to consider?

Id keep it as is for some reason people think the S&W mp15 is made of gold and price them out of this world . like every one else said a forged reciever is what it is probably came out of the same factory it just gives you a reason to build another rifle or pistol.
