I've been thinking about getting another one, in 9mm, but there don't seem to be any available anywhere. Bud's lists them as out of stock (and has for months now) and even Beretta has them listed for law enforcers at over $900 a pop, (but, you can't buy from them). Anyone heard anything about shortages or a stop in production?

You won't likely be sorry. I've had mine for years and love it. It always surprises me how much fun and easy it is to shoot.

Not to rub salt in the wound or anything...

LOL. No salt at all. I already have one in .45, but want a 9mm to go with it. Easier to find high cap mags for it.

Their have been several threads recently over at berettaforum.net about how Beretta has supposedly decided to discontinue the CX4. I don't know if this is true or not, some people think they are just temporarily not producing any CX4's in order to gear up to build the new Beretta AR-160s.

They're all in houses of horror scaring little children with their awful appearances.

EDIT: Oh, wait, I though of a better one!

They're all in Hawaii making Roseanne Barr look attractive!

These rifles do not take the same mags as the Beretta 92 / M9...correct?

But they DO take the same mags as the Px4... Do I have that right?

    I'm also on the hunt for a "bargain" 9mm Cx4... ( :n00b: ) I imagine that I will be for a LONG time, too.

You can easily set them up for either.

Try Whittakers. They almost always have them in stock, and IIRC they are under $700 typically so even with shipping it may make sense.

    They have two 9mm versions:
    1) compatible with Beretta 92 & M9 magazines
    2) compatible with PX4 magazines

The difference is a magazine well insert and mag release button. You can actually convert one 9mm into the other 9mm with the appropriate parts.

Same thing goes with the .40 cal. They have one for the Beretta 96 and one for the PX4 in .40.

I'd love to get one of these as I live in Indy and the rifle ranges are far away whereas MCFG is closer to me. Plus, I have the px4 so the mag compatibility would be nice. However, it's tough to justify $800-900 when you can find the sub2k for a third of that.

Beretta USA website still lists the CX4 Storm, with an MSRP of $915.

Guessing that means they are still available but for some reason have gotten very popular making them harder to find. Actually the reason they probably got more popular is people finding out how nice they are.

Love my storm... Just recently cleaned it, was seeing how long it would shoot without a cleaning and I still don't know because I just couldn't keep dirtying it up and leaving it alone. It took 3200 rounds of lead reloads without a hitch....

Mine is the 9mm setup for the Beretta 92FS mags...

Looking for another one for a bargin also as the wife likes it...

I have one in .40 and I love it. Thing is super accurate and with the front grip comfortable even for my big ass.

I got mine slightly used (in every sense new was even super clean) a few years ago and beat the poor guy down to $450 OTD.
