    the hunted
    lord of the rings, which is funny because I despise EVERYTHING that has to do with fantasy wizardy stuff but that movie gets me every time especially when they show all three in a row on TNT. my wife knows if that happens nothing will get done that day.

    That's because wizardry and fantastical stuff were only the backdrop to classic human themes of heroism, self-sacrifice, courage in battle. As a classical scholar himself, Tolkein knew his stuff. Most of the fantasy stuff these days are knockoffs...

    We will always watch "Harvey"; "Arsenic and Old Lace"; "Front Page" (old version); "What About Bob"; "Sleepless in Seattle"; "While You Were Sleeping"; "Eight Men Out" (shot in Indianapolis and my wife, son, and mother-in-law were extras identifiable in the movie version); any of the National Lampoon Vacation movies...
