The summer of 1978, on the advice of a Carmel police officer as he was returning my Colt .38 Banker's Special. It had been stolen from my truck a couple of months earlier. He told me the next time something like that happened I would be arrested for carrying a handgun without a license. He was real nice about the whole incident. I sure never expected to see that revolver again!

1965, OC and unloaded age 16 - no permit required that way at that time.
1972, OC/CC and loaded (after returning from Air Force) - permit required and obtained.

2003...Carrying since 18. Mom felt I was of the required mental capacity and bought me my first handgun for my 18th birthday. Lifetime indiana permit holder.

I started back when I was 14 in 1993 out in Kansas, moved out here in 1997 and got my permit at 18.
