my first was a taurus pt92. its a barreta clone given to me by my uncle. it shoots really nice. a full frame chambered in 9mm makes it a great gun to learn on
That I shot? A ruger .22lr pistol... don't remember the exact model (it was "mine" although I didn't buy it, nor did I take it when I left home many many years ago)
That I bought? Beretta 92FS ... sitting right there, loaded and ready.
First handgun I ever purchased was a Taurus 44SS6 (.44 Mag/6") as a sidearm for a bow hunting trip out west. A short three years later and that number has grown to five! Still have the first Taurus, and am considering adding a scope and trying it as a hunting pistol.
First handgun was a Colt Trooper MKIII with nickle finish in .22 magnum with 6 inch barrel, like new in box. Bought it in mid-eighties for around 300.00 and can't find a nice replacement now for less than 1000.00.
Ruger Security Six. Probably will never part with it. I've learned my lesson from cars and motorcycles. If it was worth having in the first place, it's awful hard to part with your first.
Cheap gun to get into the hobby. Didn't like the feel in my hand nor the recoil. Also not as reliable as I would have liked. Could have been the ammo too
