What size handgun do you enjoy shooting the most?

I'm not asking which size you like best for concealed carry or open carry etc... We all know what size handguns, in general, best serve specific carry methods.

So I want to know what size handgun you enjoy most for range shooting, plinking, varmint shooting, etc... Pretend for a second that you don't have to worry about carrying it.

What size is the most comfortable in your hand?
What size do you feel you can shoot most accurately with?
Does caliber affect your most enjoyable size?

I'd like to keep this discussion limited to semi-auto handguns only. I like wheel guns but I think comparing semi-auto sizes to wheel gun sizes is like apples to oranges.

So what do you prefer?

Oversized?

Full size?

Compact?

Subcompact?

Browning Buckmark and Glock 20/21.

I like my G29 too but it lost the favorite role when I got the G20 and 21. They just fit my hands.

Currently I like my full size Beretta M9. It's silky smooth recoiling and the 9mm doesn't beat me or my wallet up.

If not that, I really enjoy shooting my ruger mark III target pistol. It's just the right size and it's fun to really see what can be done with a 22lr.

I enjoy shooting pistols of all sizes but generally the bigger the better because I have big hands. I used to have a desert eagle with the hogue wrap around grips in 44mag that was awesome. That was more fun than my xd subcompact 9mm.

For a long day at the range though I do prefer my G23 to my G27 though. I would say compact or full size is the most enjoyable for me.

I love my .22s, old ruger mk1, 22/45, and my favorite walther p22. I also like my wife's glock 23. They are all good shooters and very accurate.
