Very nice shape...it has a Hastings vent rib barrel on it with chokes and an aftermarket Camo stock. I bought it in the 80's and hasn't seen much action in the last 20 years.
I will hate to part with it but I just hate to see it sit in the safe not being used. To nice a gun.
Hellova first post after all these years.
If it had the original equipment still on it the value would be considerably more.
I hate to see a nice old 1100 in new clothes.
Might want to put some pics up so we can get an idea of the condition as well.
Somewhere between $15 and $1500. We'll need good, clear photos--including photos of all the stampings and any flaws, no matter how minor--to narrow it down more than that.
If you still have the original walnut stock to go with it, the value will be significantly higher.
The grand old 1100 is very much respected and one in excellent condition commanding $500 or better would certainly be possible.
I bought a couple beaters (what I was looking for) in the past few years with some rust, cracked stocks, etc. $300 and $400. Happened on to a sweet package of misc 1100 parts in the classifieds also.
I'm very happy with my smooth, always running, user guns.
Used 1100, great wood stock, 85 - 90%, $850.00, what a friend bought one for few months back. This was Target model your model somewhere south of $400 would be my guess.
thanks...and sorry it took so long to post...I actually forgot that I was a part of this forum...
I have made a decision to thin the herd down to absolutely what I want to keep...and this one will be tough to let go of.
It is a hunter not a safe queen...but has been taken care of still looks great...and with Turkey season around the corner now would be a good time to get moving on it.
I actually gave the 1100 to my father to use after I bought it and he added the barrel and stocks...I will have to look see if I have the wood stocks. The original barrel had no chokes.
I will post some pics soon.
I already had to many shotguns and then I won a new Winchester SX3...http://www.basspro.com/Winchester-SX3-Hybrid-Long-Beard-SemiAuto-Shotgun/product/10413/....but i haven't even put the barrel on the gun...and I may sell it too...
I see no sense letting them sit...
Thanks again.
I had an 1100 tactical with a 20" barrel. I personally did not like the gun as it was very finicky with ammo. I purchased the shotgun from a friend for around $500. At the time i purchased the shotgun it had never been fired and i would like to believe that was under market value. When i sold the shotgun to a friend. I sold it to him for $500 and included a case i had bought and about 4 boxes of shells that it liked to shoot. Your gun is worth whatever anyone is willing to pay for it. However, i would guess that anywhere from $350-500 would be a good starting point. Cheers!
Others have given a good idea of what your gun might be worth. I have an 1100 Trap-T model that my dad gave me when I was in high school. I sold it to a friend in 1997 to buy a guitar. When my dad passed in 2014, I bought it back from the same friend for the same price I sold it to him for. I will die with that gun. All this to say, the 1100 is a great gun!
