but the good liberal would say that bernie sanders socialism isnt like their socialism. Then when you ask the to give examples, they will just call you a racist bigot and then run away.

I hate that about Communists. When confronted about Communism failing horribly and killing millions their only rebuttal is something like "well my particular brand of extra-special Communism has never been tried and is guaranteed not to fail."

Heard it all before pinko, and it's always been wrong.

Oh, and before somebody calls me out on it, I know socialism and communism aren't the same at the government level. The effect on the general public though, low wages, starvation, disappearances, censorship, a practical police state, etc., is pretty much the same.

Good thing where not a socialist country then..... Oh wait
Find a first world nation that hasn't adopted a few socialist policies. I don't think there are any. Doesn't make it the basis of our economic or governmental system as a whole though. Doesn't make it right to have such policies either.

When government abolishes private business ownership then we'll talk.

The problems with Venezuela go far beyond their current economic system. But their economic problems are certainly not insignificant.
They haven't had a "middle class" in the past 50 years.
The gap between the "haves" and the "have nots" has been widening for generations.
Graft, political corruption, desperate people doing desperate things.

We aren't witnessing an economic crisis. We are witnessing the failure of a Government. Expect a military coup soon. HOPE for a military coup. The failure of a State the size and importance of Argentina will have far reaching consequences.

Mexico is not too far behind. IMHO.

Looks like Puerto Rico may not be far behind either.

Note from the video at around 7:25, where it shows the "Zona Libre De Armas" signs (Gun Free Zones). They aren't very effective there either.

I feel sorry for those people.

But the way we are going, I see that happening here.
Too many people believe the siren call of socialism.

Difference Between Socialism and Communism | Difference Between | Socialism vs Communism

Socialism is commonly regarded as an economic system that seeks to achieve equality among members of society. Communism, on the other hand, is both an economic system that seeks equality among members of society and a political ideology that advocates a classless and stateless society and rejects religion. It is regarded as a more extreme form of socialism.

    1. Socialism is an economic system while communism is both an economic and political system.
    2. In socialism, the resources of the economy are managed and controlled by the people themselves through communes or councils while in communism, management and control rest on a few people in a single authoritarian party.
    3. Socialists distribute wealth to the people based on an individual’s productive efforts while communists farm out wealth based on an individual’s needs.
    4. Socialists can own personal properties while communists can not.
    5. Socialism allows capitalism to exist in its midst while communism seeks to get rid of capitalism.

Wait... what? Point number 3 can't be right... Socialists only want free stuff... I heard it on INGO!
