So I was doing some spring cleaning in the safe room and found my bag of firearm locks. 30+ and most of them are brand new still in the packaging. I’m not really sure what to do with them since I don’t use them on any of my firearms. Am I the only one who has run into this situation? Like what do I do with them? Throw them away? I’m pretty sure most of them are made in China and are cheap junk, I doubt they have any value. I don’t think they deserve prime real estate in the safe room. Thoughts? Has anyone figured out something productive to do with all these locks?

    In the country, hopefully.
Just want to be first in to say you’re a horrible person, not unloading your guns and keeping them locked with at least one lock. More is better.
And why do you need 30 guns? Do you have 30 arms?
What kind of monster are you?

Yea they sure don’t deserve real estate in the safe room but I never throw mine out either!

I was at LA Fitness in Avon a couple days ago and saw a firearm lock hanging on a gym locker. Maybe you could just go to the local gym and throw them all on a bench in the locker room. At least they get used for something practical. Because they sure ain’t worth a **** on a firearm.

I leave them in the original box the firearm came in.
I'm a firm believer in keeping everything that it was shipped with. When I pass on those in my family who get my firearms have everything it originally came with.
Wow. now thats a collector I don’t have a lot of guns anymore but would have taken up a lot of room for cardboard boxes when I did.

I have a 10x10 storage area just for such things.
Stack them up and properly you can put a lot of gun boxes in that space.

Find a local org that gives out gun locks. Donate them.
    ^^THIS^^

Donating them is a great idea. There’s a lot of new gun owners who buy used guns that might not come with one. Eventually they will see the light, end up with a pile of locks themselves, then donate them as well. And the never ending cycle of unused gun locks continues.
