After....I argued that during the 1816 Sate Constitutional Convention in Corydon...(Much to the amusement of WFYI's cameraman....) We could've birthed jazz and blues but noooooooo....We got Hoagy Carmichael and Roy Clark....

I told you...Slavery begat angst, angst begat blues, blues begat jazz, country mixed with blues begat rock and roll...We have no literary version of a Tennessee Williams or a Faulkner because we have no guilt....
