I mostly carry a FS 1911 (RIA) in .45 ACP. When I'm feeling awesome, or dressed for success, a .45 ACP Colt Commander. Occasionally (rarely though) will carry a .38 special (3" bbl.)
Have been considering buying a Sig 232 or 238 as a BUG for carry.
My main carry gun is a g23. However I am planning on buying a 9mm barrel to convert over to a g19. My carry gun at work and around the house is 9mm. I would not think about carrying anything less than a .38spcl even in a back up.
I created the thread but did not answer the question myself. I carry a 4566TSW in 45ACP. Though am looking for a smaller 9mm carry piece to be used instead.
All I have now is 9mm. Decided a while ago to keep to one caliber. I am having second thoughts now. I have a hankering for a 1911 that I am really trying to suppress.
When not working, I split between my hi-power and 1911s. If concealment is going to be more of a priority, I carry a 38 or 380, depending on my mood. When doing the kicking around the woods in deer season, its either 357, 45 Colt, or 44, depending on how heavy I feel like going that particular day.
For carry to/from and ocasionally at work, its typically either my MK9, or a 380, depending on where I am working at the time.
I voted .45 cause I "carry" my 1911 most often but, the .380 stays in the car and I'm looking to get a S&W shield in 9mm. I had a Sig P938 in 9mm but it was just too small for me. I like to be able to shoot my pistols at the range for fun and the sig was just to small to shoot well with.
