    Bow season, my Hoyt vectrix.
Gonna let my dad use my ruger 44 carbine this year and take out my savage 99f in 358 win, cut down to 1.8.

If I still have a tag, I'll take out my Omega z5 for the late show.

It's not bad unless you don't have a hold of it. 14" also. It is really loud. That is the biggest problem I've found. You do have to hang on to it though.

My 14" .35 rem wasn't ported and I thought the recoil different (straight back), but plenty tolerable. I did have Pachmayr Grippers on it, came with them.

Miss that gun (old frame but shot great).

When I get a Ruger #1 done in .35 Rem then I'll put my Contender carbine (newer frame) back into pistol config.

    Longbow and this......

Actually still waiting on chamber reaming. Been waiting awhile on the reamer from PT&G.

    My "DIY" Indiana legal rifle.

350 Rem mag (.358 bore) shortened and barrel set back both .375 inches.

Case capacity of a 358 Winchester or a grain or two more.

    Named it the 350 JR.

Bullet shown in the dummy round is a 225 Nosler (long azzed thing eh?) BC of .421. Fits in the short action magazine like it was made for it.

Not quite in step with ones like the .358 Grant but more than capable for any shots Ill get.

    Not far from the tree
    easy tracking jobs though :)
Watch out for the DNR. Cinder blocks are not considered legal weapons unless it's attached like a broadhead to your arrow.:D

I may not hunt at all this year. Still eating the buck I shot over a yr ago. Though taking the HM2 with me up into a treestand and thinning the squirrels a bit sounds enticing.
I might call the local soup kitchen and ask 'em if they need any meat.

Then I could break out the Diamond Black Ice compound and some broadheads.
.35 Remington Contender pistol works as does the Encore M/L.

Gonna break out Big Nasty. RRA .458 SOCOM midlength upper on a Armalite lower with MagPul UBR FDE furniture. It wears a Bushnell 2-7x Elite 3000 scope and shoots 325 gr. FTX loads from Profire. Thats the perfect recipe for deer season.
