Well, the only .45 I've got is a Springfield 1911 MilSpec, and I do have a Fobus Paddle Holster for it. I don't carry it often, though, and when I do it's either out in the woods or at the range, so it's good for me that way..
Taurus PT145 with inside waistband summer comfort holster and an XD45 Service both inside the waistband and with kydex paddle holster. Taurus PT1911 Stainless in a Fobus paddle holster and or an Inside waist band. I very rarely carry my 9MM.
Colt OACP IWB at about 4 o'clock unless I'm gonna be driving a lot then I carry it in a jackass shoulder holster. Easier for me to get to driving being a big guy. Keep a P-3AT in the console and put it in an ankle holster when I get where I'm going...... Kong
It's gon enow, but my main carry .45 was a springfield loaded model. I carried it in a leather Glaco IWB. Two spare mags were carried in an old USGI Green canvas mag pouch with the flap cut off. The ALICE clips helod it very tight and I could easily put a Surefire in it instead of one mag. Great gun; wish I hadn't sold it.
OWB: Milt Sparks #60TK, dyed black, horsehide, on 1" Milt Sparks belt
I carry strong side (right) at 4 or 4:30ish (have Versa Max II for bug, Kahr P9 which I wear on left at 8). Have double mag pouches for both methods of carry.
