Indy south

Wind and sleet on the south side of Indy at 4:00 PM.

Got a message from a guy in MO 4-5 hours ago. He said it was snowing about 2" per hour there. Some of that is going to get to IN.

I hope we keep the sleet over freezing rain. If so, we just might keep the power on.

I tried to clear my drive this morning and only got a small patch done in the time it usually takes me to do the whole drive. Went out a few minutes ago and you almost can't tell I did anything. Sleet and rain are coming down freezing immediately. Keeping my fingers crossed the power lines stay up.

I'm down in the man cave keeping warm with my parabolic heater pointed at me.

A bag of Terri Lynn cashews.
An alcoholic beverage
Listening to the Ham radio/scanner.
Thinking about cleaning up the cave. ( screw it. )
Thawing sausage for tomorrows breakfast.
My neighbor dug out the snow blower & fired it up.
Brought the generator in the house to warm up the crankcase oil, so it will start easier, if needed.
Thinking about the up coming NRA show in Pittsburgh.
Ready for a nap, then to bed.

So far just a coating of ice last night followed by 3/4" sleet which froze with the ice creating a nice solid ice sheet. Tonight we've got 2-3 inches of sleet here in Noblesville so it'll be interesting come the morning.

Drifting bad here. Winds are heavy out of the east and my snow fence is out west of my driveway so it isn't doing me any good. I have some parts of my driveway where I hardly have any snow a hour after plowing and some spots are a couple feet deep. Trying to decide if I should keep plowing the drifts or say screw it till morning.
