I just bought a brand new Walther PPS.40 cal. Im looking for advice, tips and opinions about this handgun. I havent been to the range yet.Im planning a trip there soon.
I originally was shopping for a Glock but the Walther fit my hand better.
Any info would be greatly appreciated....Kidd
They intrigue me to the point of wanting one too. Let us know how it runs. I've read and heard about some issues when the .40's first came out with springs and slide locks, but hopefully that is fixed. About what do they run?
Congrats...I bought one about 3 months ago as well...I've put 50 rounds of the cheapo Blazer Brass through it and it worked perfectly. I was slightly nervous at first because some of the clowns in the gun store said that .40 S&W "wasn't fun to shoot" because it was "too snappy," but I beg to differ.
I also bought a Mr. Softy holster from High Noon about a month ago as well, and it fits perfectly. The gun is very easy to carry, thanks to the less than 1" thickness.
The "QuickSafe" feature that makes the gun unfirable when you remove the backstrap seems kind of hokey, but all in all it seems like a very nice gun. It is very easy to take down. I would describe it as basically like a really skinny Glock.
I need to pick up a couple more magazines too, since they only come with one now..
