I think we need to try to show up to protect our gun rights from this very anti-gun representative. Not by carrying guns into a political event, that would probably get people arrested, but by voicing our support for gun rights.

It appears the N.W. Indiana Patriots are planning to attend to protest socialized medicine. So there will probably be a good crowd of conservatives there. We should give them a boost, many of those folks are probably also supporters of gun rights. It seems logical that they would be of like mind to our cause as many of us are of like mind to their cause.

I'd suggest we dress nicely, act respectfully, do not antagonize any union thugs, and try to set a good example. There may well be media at the event, we should put ourselves forward as responsible citizens who are law abiding and can be trusted to protect our families.

I assume if you carry, you'll have to stay outside? Need any sidewalk pacers? I might be up in the region then.

    Keeping the Message Strong

Friday’s health care reform protest at Rep. Visclosky’s Merrillville office was our biggest event yet! Nearly 200 people came to exercise their First Amendment right to free speech and peaceable assembly on August 14, 2009.

The protest was scheduled to start at noon, but protesters began arriving at 11 a.m. to “get a jump” on it!
    Another early starter.
It was a hot and sunny day. Thank you to the local businessman who provided cold water.
Citizens took the opportunity to remind the Rep. of their opposition to HR 3200.
Faith used her bullhorn to tell Rep. Visclosky to “Kill the Bill!”
There was a sea of American flags!
Thanks to Shawn Olsen for providing many of them.
There are always a lot of horn honks in support of our protests, but this day there seemed to be more than usual. Guess our message is getting out to the people!
The view from the front of Rep. Visclosky’s office.
    We filled the whole block!
No angry rightwing mob here, but a lot of enthusiastic citizens expressing their opinions.
Thank you, everyone, for coming out and making your views known.

Our numbers are growing! Be a part of the solution!

Yeah it really was an inspiring turnout, for a weekday especially. Roughly 200 patriots stood together and demanded their health care not be taken over by their oppressive government. Truly a sight to behold.

New members are joining with every rally. People off the streets are becoming informed. INGO forum dwellers are logging off their computers and joining the fight. Its an inspiring thing being with fellow patriots.
