I saw this press release and thought you all might be interested:
The Purdue Cooperative Extension Service is once again sponsoring a series of venison workshops across the state this September. During each workshop, a deer will be skinned, butchered, and prepared in a variety of ways for participants to taste. Other topics include a discussion of food safety and handling procedures, as well as an update on deer health issues. There will be a nominal $10 admission fee again this year to help cover workshop expenses. (Free admission to children under 18 years!) The programs at Bass Pro Shops on September 19th and at the Hoosier Outdoor Experience on September 26th are free of charge. See list of dates & times below for more information.
