Is there anything that a person needs to watch out for when buying a used set of dies? Do they wear out? In my head, it seems like they should last forever.
1. Know in advance what THAT die set sells for new. For ME, the only used dies that will bring more than 50% of new is Dillon dies (Or some Redding dies.)
2. Look at the overall condition-Dirty? Lock rings stripped out, or have pliers marks on them?
Take out center stems+look into die body for scratches??
3. If no instruction sheet/pamphlet, price down 10%.
4. On some pistol dies, should have more than one seating stem??
