Good find... had Biden's thinking prevailed, this would have been much, much worse.
You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to printcraft again.
The killer took Joe Biden's advice and bought a shotgun.

Since it doesn't fit the narrative this story will disappear like a fart in the wind.
News reporting that good guy shooter was Ex-FBI. Another take on all this is people are starting to fight back!!!!
And they will dismiss it for that reason. "He wasnt REALLY a civilian. He was a professional. This proves we don't need civilians carrying guns because they'll just get hurt. This is a prime example. The first two shot were civilians trying to stop him, and they failed to stop the shooter. It took a professional to get the job done. See, this proves that only LEOs should be armed because it is useless for non LEO to carry because they are ineffectual."
(I feel dirty for typing that garbage)
I found another story that says he was a reserve deputy for six years 1980-1986 and otherwise owned a gun store and range and was a businessman/contracts specialist.
If you want to see that bias, then you're going to see that bias. They cant help but pick it up.
Will they keep talking about it is the question. If it were just a bunch killed, absolutely. Because they would be able to show that guns are evil and must be banned. In this case they are less likely because it not only doesn't fit their narrative, it shoots that narrative in the face.

since he apparently put it on his own Facebook page, there’s information about the parishioner who put down the attacker. Former Reserve deputy, LTC instructor, firearms trainer who formerly owned a training academy, Trump supporter, running for commissioner in his home county. 71 years old.
That is the one I saw. That is why I said who knows
Whatever his past, it is clear he has practiced/trained a lot.
Somehow I think he's going to win that election...

That is where I was getting my info. Of course I don't trust anything on the net, but it doesn't say anything about the FBI there. 6 years in the 80s as a reserve deputy could mean little to nothing.
So... we can say his oath is still valid? On his FB page for his run for County Commissioner he posts:
Jack Wilson County Commissioner for Precinct 3 CampaignI have taken this oath multiple times beginning in 1965 when I joined the Army National Guard, as a reserve deputy for Hood County Sheriff’s Dept, and multiple times with Dept of Defense Security Clearances beginning in 1965 thru 1995. I swore to the oath then and still live by the oath today.
