ACT is getting ready to have our end of year review and new year planning session, and i'm wondering what sort of classes the board would like to see us put on in the spring. we will likely be doing the competition pistol class and the league shoot regularly and the defensive pistol and defensive rifle classes early and regularly. we're also going to step up our emergency medical classes.

the question is: what classes would you folks like to attend?

I know you already mentioned it, but I want to point out my excited interest in the USPSA league. I thought it was good and look forward to it being excellent in the future.

I might also like to work on something that specifically involves BUG.

Apparently, you didn't like my suggestion about the Ninja/SEAL training.:dunno:

But frequent pistol and carbine stuff will be your bread and butter.

+1, especially carbine and such for home defense.

no, craig, i got the suggestion. it's just that the ninja part we'll have to keep secret and it's going to take several private lessons to get you to play those horns while balancing the ball on your nose. :D

How many would said group need to be (min/max)? Let's presume a carbine class.

I wanna vote! I wanna vote!
I vote for basic hand to hand defense, while carrying.

how about if i have tom smack you around while rhino yells at you? seriously, we are looking into some close quarters empty hand and blade stuff. several of us have some rather dusty martial arts backgrounds and we've also been discussing this with some other instructors. at this time, i doubt if we'll be doing anything that requires a cup and mouth protector, but we can direct you to some amazing folks for that. there's a thread going right now along those lines.

If I took anything it would be basic pistol, weaponless self defense, or self defense in the home. I'd like to take classes on all three subjects sometime soon, but schedule, finances, etc. being what they are....

Did I hear someone say he wants to be a meat puppet? :):
Yep, I'll do it. Might have a few cobwebs, but I'll be damned if I'll let the years sneak up on me without a fight.

Works for me, as long as they're giving details before, after or during. Experienced fellows, I'm listening.
