223 Gunner
Master
I have been in this hobby a long time, someone please explain to me why do some members want to trade only to get into new weapons? I have done a few trades and considered myself a very fair person.
To me usually a trade is going to involve some cash going either way.
I can't recall any one time that I have done a straight across trade.
A couple of questions I have are:
1. Why is trade value always higher than the cash value if a price is put on it?
2. What is the purpose of a straight trade? Did someone get into the gun on the cheap and they are trying to trade up?
For the record there isn't anything in the classifieds that I want right now. I have noticed a handful of members that "trade only."
And there have been some interesting guns offered, just not enough for me to want to trade any of my own higher end guns for.
I have also considered that some guns have been modded, which depending on the firearm can help or hurt. And in my mind I make the assumption that that is the real reason they are up for trade.
Most of the ones on here for trade only have had mods done, and who knows if they were done properly or bubba'd.
Which always leads me to not being interested trading off my factory unmolested firearms for what could be someone's mistakes that are too expensive to make them right, potentially the entire reason it's up for trade.
The other thing I have considered is maybe a trade is offered in hopes of getting a firearm that is no longer produced or readily available.
What say you INGO?
