    I have been out to S.D. to shoot pdogs and in a couple of places we could shoot as far as we could see. It was the most fun shooting I have ever had.

    Long range stuff just fascinates the crap out of me. I wish I had a spot like that.

    Seems to be the biggest issue around here.... these guys are talking about 1000 yds (over a half mile) and 1760 yds (a mile) I mean thats tough to have unless you have a farm with a backstop. That one shot over in afghanistan or iraq by the military sniper was 1.56 miles im sure with a 50 cal (tends to be overkill for varmints). It's hard for some people to get a perspective on that kind of distance. To me it seems udderly impossible, I guess it's all on the conditions though. I mean they said a 5 second bullet travel time... awesome.
