That really relies on perspective. I'm not offended by it, and as a kid, I learned it and recited it as it's now commonly known. However, that song got no love from my grandparents (especially my grandmother), and I learned a number of nursery rhymes I had learned in school were quite offensive to my older relatives. Many of them are dead now, but still it's something I remember them disliking. When you grow in certain places in certain eras, stuff like that so easy to "get over."I have always known that rhyme as "catch a tiger by its toe". Learn something new everyday. People really go out of their way to be offended.
