A little history on Eugenics for those who do not know:

Once the unfit groups were sufficiently identified, institutionalization and euthanasia were two Eugenics-driven approaches to “solve the problem.” Advocates of the practice marketed it as a humane way to end suffering and ensure a fit and “healthy” society prevailed.

While even Alexander Graham Bell and Leonard Darwin (Charles Darwin’s son) sat on the earliest International Congress of Eugenics in 1912, it was Adolf Hitler and his Third Reich’s adoption of the practice that took this dark art and plunged it into unspeakable depths of depravity and barbarism.

Hitlers’ was the most “successful” Eugenics campaign to date, and began with something as rudimentary as a ”caliper” test to assess the broadness of one’s nose. To the Nazis, broad-noses equated to ethnic “inferiority” — in other words: ”life unworthy of life.” That sum comprised 6 million Jews, nearly 3 million Poles, an estimated 1 million Romany-gypsies, 15,000 homosexuals, at least 300,000 institutionalized disabled men, women and children and 400,000 more who were spared only to be forcibly sterilized.

The video further explains that Al Gore's comments are based on Eugenics. The Left is now trying to re-cast Eugenics into American society by using different terminology. I am unable to embed the video so watch it at the linked site.

While Hitler's use of eugenics was, by far, the most "successful" in terms of scale, I'd have to say that Indiana's lasted much longer and was implemented "better" than the Nazi's.

The problem with eugenics was who got to decide who was unfit.

The problem with Eugenics is that people were classified as being less than human or humans not worth living their own lives. Just think of the possibilities with genetic testing and government run health care. It is evil and it seems the Left is trying to use it again.

There are people on the left who are into eugenics. The problem is, like every other hair brained New Age scheme, is that it's not thought through. I'll think it through just one step.

They want to get rid of the undesirables, and have a society populated their preferred types. How long can a society last when it's populated only by illegal aliens who are not even literate in their own language, welfare cases who haven't worked their whole lives, and a hand full of Peace Studies Phd's who don't even know how to change a tire?

The left's plan doesn't even look good on paper, and the enthusiastic support it still gets scares me.

I have studied eugenics for years now and have even been admitted to eugenics programs. MENSA is a eugenics wolf in wolfs clothing. You know what you do after you are admitted. They send you crap in the mail about hanging out with other "gifted" individuals and doing everything they can to get "hook up" with other MENSA members. It's a crock of crap.

Yes. Though disguised as "women's rights" or whatever you want to call it today, with African American women aborting at a rate of twice their US population representation, abortion is one of the most successful, longest lived eugenics program in the world.

My favorite part in Margaret Sanger's biography (maybe an auto biography) is where she talks about meeting with the womens auxillary of the KKK explaining how it would be a "good thing" to abort the "unwanted" and this should be something they (the KKK) should support...Even those racists couldn't get on board with murdering the babies of a race they despised...

You know your are souless when even the womens auxillary of the KKK thinks you are evil...Sanger was very dissapointed and reallly thought they would understand what she was about...
