Sale is a noun. i.e. the store has a sale.
sell is a verb. i.e. he sells tactical red sneakers.
depends on the language for me I prefer some languages over others. the includes in C++ are annoying but I like the rest of the rest of the language. VB is ok. I used to know 8 or 9 languages really well during college. I just didn't enjoy it.
