Good weather and not to windy, something to consider when unhooking the stand from a tree. Deck screws, treated lumber, with a little paint, and I should get a few more years out of them.

Howdy everybody. Long day...neighbor got final clearance for her surgery so she is set for Wednesday.

My son's car wouldn't start this morning when I decided today was a good day to drive it. Battery cables are probably dirty...current diagnosis. Antifreeze was low, oil is a bit low and dirty, washer fluid was empty...dang kids. Filled fluids and told him I'll get the oil changed. He apparently meant to do it and forgot to tell me it was due.

Radiator appears to be leaking around the cap...didn't feel like it was sealed tight so we'll get a new cap for him.

Got 100# of yukon gold taters and a 50# bag of onions and packed them away in the root cellar this afternoon.

Hubby caught a couple dozen bluegill so dinner was good.

I need to go to Nappanee and get some lard at the butcher shop there. I cannot make pie without lard and I ran out.

I don't care much for blueberry pie usually, but I did find a recipe this year for fresh blueberry pie that I still want to try. Cherry and apple are always hits here. I also make one that is "better than pumpkin pie"...made with butternut squash.
