With an E85 carb for street use.

I couldn’t remember exactly what the compression was on your deal but I remember it being high...

10 to 1. I pulled the domes out. 12.9 to 1 was to much for the cat I was building it for. You can not trust a brother to understand the absolute need for Cam-2 or better.

Yeah had trans and everything or that deal didn’t you

Yup. 4L60Eand the stand alone electronic controller for the trans. Trans has all the right parts in it. Also have a converter. Non-lock up. B&M shifter.
The cam is near a marine high torque grind matched to the 383. Same combo in the 70 Camaro went 10.60's and could have used a bit steeper gear and been launched more aggressively.

I like it too man. Just daunting knowing that it would take another $6k-$8k to get a running and driving LS and T56 in there ya know?

You don't have to go "E" ticket right out of the box; neighbor sold a running LS motored 2 wheel drive pickup for 800 bucks a couple of weeks ago. Do the swap, get it running, upgrade whatever needs to be replaced or rebuilt chassis wise an plan your fire breather and Jeff S it! Shouldn't take a lot to build something that'll scare the hell out of you!

I see 2wd fleet/service trucks come up pretty regularly. 6.0 4L80 2wd. Problem is I know how fleet trucks are ran, and it ain’t easy. They’re normally maintained correctly but they’re driven like rentals.
