The one that started it all....the Thunder 5...Taurus and S&W are just copies. Made from 1992 to 1998 It would handle 45 Colt, .410, and with sub caliber sleeves it ould shoot 9mm, 38/357, and 38 Super. There was even a 45/70 version made.
A friend had one of those in GA back in '95-96 when I was teaching high school down there. In .410 it was absolutely devastating to the target...which was water-filled, 1 gallon milk containers! It kicked like a mule when you fired it but holy-crap, who cared...you'd win!!! I want a Taurus 'Public Defender' when I can afford one!
I've sold a number of the Judges for guys that camped. Great for a camper where a long gun wouldn't fit well. And you wanted the buckshot spread that a normal handgun doesn't provide.
