The total lack of obese Avengers in infinity wars indicates a problem in the comic book industry. The lack of extraordinary low-IQ avengers, people with club-foot, Down’s syndrome, schizophrenia, homeless, destitute, avengers indicates a problem in the comics. Ant that problem is two-fold.

1) there’s not enough character space in the cast to find a meaningful part for every preferred “oppressed” class.

2) It’s not what we want to see when we go to an avengers movie. We want to see the super-hero fantacy play out. Fill the cast of the avengers with all the preferred intersectional pillars of downtrodden, and only the most virtue seeking phonies will go see it. And I bet that’s okay with them because they don’t really like the genre anyway.

Here's a crazy thought.

Want comic book/movie characters to reflect your view of the world? Create them and sell them. Let the market decide. Stop foisting your view of what you want to see on everyone else, especially when there are established, literary backstories and a canon.

They need to consider that it’s not a phobia anyway. The people who throw gays off of rooftops, for example, aren’t afraid of gays. But we know they’re not talking about those “homophobes” anyway.

It won’t sell because nearly everone can’t relate to LGBT, because almost everyone isn’t actually LGBT. And why must it be LGBT? Can’t it be people with cleft palates?

Most of us are individuals having individual conversations, even on social media. The only national conversations going on ever are the very elite few people with national platforms. Because of social media and the outrageous statements she made, she was noticed, and granted a national platform. And she used that platform to give an opinion that even progressives cringed at.She violated the sanctity that most people, even far leftists, grant to grieving families at the loss of their loved ones. It's only her opinion that Barbara Bush deserved such vile language. She deserves no bigger platform than any of the other hundreds of millions of Americans. She's one person.

And having made the national platform, she obviously didn't lose any right to free expression. But As ACT points out, she doesn't have the right to free expression without rebuttal. And having a national platform makes that rebuttal national. When moveon.org starts a petition to fire her, OMG. That's telling. Being a national embarrassment to your side must really suck.
