High end graphics cards have gotten more expensive and harder to find because of crypto currency miners. They are even being sold in six packs.

LGR takes a look at the Apple iMac knock-off from the 90s... the eMachines eOne.

Apple sued eMachines and got it pulled from shelves and banned from sale worldwide.

Remember "Bonzi Buddy", the purple monkey desktop assistant?

I know it from when I was a kid... I didn't know the larger story behind it being, essentially, a virus that people willingly installed.

Also, beware. Trash websites like Salon are offering to "suppress" ads if you let them use your computer for CoinHive, a cryptomining method.

Only at the cost of the user's computer health, battery, etc!

Stuff most people don't understand anyway.

Short term payoff - "Hey, I can get rid of the ads without installing anything? That's dope cool man."

(Yeah yeah yeah, I'm old. People probably don't really talk like that.)

What is our common way to avoid or dodge those "turn off your addblocker" thingies?
When I get that message, I simply close that tab. Not worth my time visiting.

Used to hit The Chive now and then for a chuckle. They require ads enabled to view their content. I no longer visit their site.

Yeah, pretty much that for me, too.

The stuff I read usually has so many sources or reprints that it isn't hard to find it someplace else.
