Since Polys seem to be the rage here I thought I would post this for you gents. I would consider this price..... fair to good. Not familiar with the member but of course how well do you know anyone from the internets.

As a collectible this rifle is about as rare as hens teeth. Too bad it wasn't in 5.45......

it would be nice if the chicoms every made a 5.45 Polytech.

    a blued ak-74 would be sweet ;)

I thought they had them produced for the export market but they never actually got the ball rolling before the ban went into effect. I could've swore I read about 5.45 Polys at one time.

Would've been nice to have had. I don't think we saw any 74 kits show up until 2000ish and even then no one wanted the darn things because 5.45 was still impossible to find. $100 Bulgy kits..... oh for a time machine.

After swapping the crap factory iron sights on my WASR for a set of Meprolight tritiums, I was able to nail 2-3" groups in the bullseye at ~50yds. (on a rifle stand) Rear sights with available windage adjustments are a huge plus for any AK.

Bought a Polytech "Legend" milled receiver AK47S in the late 80's just before Drug Czar (and phony conservative) Bill Bennett pushed to have their import banned.

It's been a quality firearm, that I would likely never sell except for the most outrageous price.

    The "Legend" is a keeper!
