I know they're mostly (if not all) made overseas now and I wish that weren't the case but their stuff has been keeping my buns warm for decades. I just came back in from making sure the horses and goats had what they needed for the night and aside from my exposed face, I wasn't the least bit uncomfortable in spite of the 20mph wind and -4* wind chill. Insulated bibs and an insulated barn coat I bought about 15 years ago, well broke in and long past the value paid.
I've tied on more than one good one sitting in a lawn chair staring at a hole in the ice. Hours and hours of beer drinkin, good music and an occasional rainbow. Good memories in spite of the below freezing temps thanks in part to Carharrt.
Bought my first jacket way back in 1994 and it's still going strong (no comment on how it fits these days . That thing has put a lot of miles on horseback in Missouri and Indiana and spent a lot of hours around a campfire.
These completely random thoughts brought to you by a slightly inebriated Phylo
