Then I'll ask you again. If you were running a covert meth lab while simultaneously locking up and/or shooting drug users, would you feel like a hypocrite?
I mean, you'd still be playing by the same rules as everyone else. If you got caught, you'd do your time. You're willing to play by the same rules you enforce.
Not a hypocrite?
If you hated it so much, then why won't you follow the traffic laws consistently?
Ok... I really wanted to stay out of this portion of the discussion but this really perplexes me. Are you just being obtuse or do you really expect police to be only people who have never ever broken a single law even down to a minor infraction?
Is your point that we have too many stupid laws on the books? If that is the case I think most people (even most cops) would agree with you on that one. However I really believe that what you want is near total anarchy in a world were "the man" doesn't give you a fine for acting like you are the only person on the street.
The simple fact is that we are NOT alone and MUST interact with people on a regular basis. Sure the Internet has come a long way in letting the hermits live in their mom's basements near indefinitely with little to no direct human interaction but when they do venture out into the light there are rules for how they behave whether they like it or not.
No matter where you live there will ALWAYS be some sort of rules telling you how someone else expects you to behave. It could be the teacher in the school, the bully on the playground, Bubba in prison or the government. It does not make every single rule just and righteous but we have to take the good with the bad sometimes and a true mark of adulthood is understanding the balance.
You my friend have not found that balance IMO.
