Another necessity for living in a socialist society..the loss of our 1st, 4th, and 5th Amendments.

The Massachusetts Senate has unanimously passed a pandemic flu preparation bill that has languished in the Legislature before the recent swine flu outbreak.
The 36-0 vote today sends the measure to the House...The new Senate version would allow the public health commissioner — in a public health emergency — to close or evacuate buildings, enter private property for investigations, and quarantine individuals.

Never let the left hand know what the right is doing. Blowing a case of the flu - which is remarkably similar to the common flu - wide open and hyping it up could give a lot of socialists their wet dream.

Corruption knows no bounds. All the more reason for people to make sure their government on the local and State level are legit!

There are things I miss about living in New England...the rampant radical liberalism in local and state politics isn't one of them.

I'm still getting to know my new home state, but I'm willing to bet if they tried to pass something like that here, it'd go over like a lead balloon.

The Federal Gov't has authority in interstate and foreign quarantine case, and has for a very long time. Also many states have had similar laws on the books for DECADES.

I believe that individual localities should implement their own civil defense and disaster preparedness programs. When I was in the AF, my flight commander put me in charge of disaster preparedness... just one of the things you hope won't happen - but prepare for just as well.

Hey, who let the voice of reason into this thread!? (just..try..to..ignore..him) :yesway: ;)

You know this has just got to be a liberal conspiracy to take over the world. (...where in the hell did I put that Reynolds wrap?)
