Hello fellow Hoosiers, so many good threads on here about our local government I thought I would repost my post here as well. I am so disallusioned and angry that we are where we're at now I was compelled to vent. Be well.

All right, really don't have a lot of posts here but this really chaps my azz guys. Put your name on a list, by all means, I'm sure it's just another one that our names are added to.

I'm sure that most of us on these sites and forums vote. Why in the he77 do we keep voting these same idiots into office year after year? 55,000 people lost their jobs yesterday, that is one day folks. We need to let our elected officials know this is not a free ride. If they don't vote the way the constituents want, we need to make it very clear they will be joining the ranks of the unemployed.

And why aren't these criminals going to jail? Barney Frank, Madoff... you have got to be kidding me. I can't believe that people I know well, grew up and worked with, am related to voted for Murtha! What is wrong with us, people? When are we going to wake up and do the right thing? Are there that few of us who care? Are we stupid, lazy, apathetic? The time has come when we must all educate our friends, our family, and for those of us who still have jobs, our co-workers.

We are headed down a path that I am not sure we will be able to return on guys. Yes, I know, that's why I am on sites like this too. But we owe it to our ancestors, the founding fathers, our veterans, our country...to elect people who are willing to do what's best for her and and protect our constitution.

I have relatives who have fought in the Revolutionary War, as I am sure many of you have as well, right on up to our current sons and daughters abroad now. How much longer will we stand by and allow these things to happen to our country by electing these same incompetent people to the same jobs every election?

NOW is the time to start voicing our discontent with our senators, our congressman, our governor, hell even our mayors and local officials, all the way up to the top. To quote some one, I AM MAD AS HELL AND I CAN NOT TAKE IT ANY MORE! How about you, have you had enough yet?

This is a great post and true. Most who agree, however are voters.

I can attest to this personally. Getting 3 people to write letters to preserve our 2a rights. 3 members going to meetings to PERSONALLY talk to our state rep. My hands are tied. No one wants to do anything. So we will lose our rights.

And they will b!tch when the lawyers in Washington take our rights. When the fact is they didn't take them, they were given away.

Those who are informed, know how to vote. Those who drink the kool-aid and vote with emotions just happened to show up more than those who think.

I know many Conservatives/Republicans that stayed home simply because McCain was a RINO and the party needed to learn a lesson. Our party put up someone who they thought would appease the middle and a barbie doll.

Now we all suffer. People better wake up before the country our forefather fought for will be gone to socialism.

I agree with the both of you. Maybe with all these people losing their jobs, they'll be hungry enough to make some changes. Hel7, democrat or republican, as long as the basic core values are there, I don't care. We need to put America back on the right track, and we have strayed so very far.

As much as it pains me to say it, I feel there is little hope of turning this thing around before the economy hits bottom. We've spent our way into this chasm and how do we propose to get out of it? Spend more. There are no jobs created by a stimulus package, there is only debt.

It's cold comfort being an austrian these days, knowing we are right won't keep us warm.

I guess its true, we are all Keynesians now.
