short answer is no, but depending on what grade of stainless a really good (chrome) plating shop might be able , but my guess is no, reason i say that is, most of our plating tanks were 303 LVM (low carbon vacuum manufacture ) and noting touched them
but as i said, might find a plater who can "flash" a couple tennths of black chrome on it
Black Nitride and ION Bond will both produce a black finish on stainless steel. Black Nitride is a chemical reaction with the steel and does not form any kind of finish buildup, whereas IONBond is a deposited vapor and will produce a buildup in finish thickness, though it is not your typical "spray on" finish.
