Previous to yesterday, my Sp101 would 'hold' onto the spent shells of any .327 ammo I shot. I had only put 40 of the expensive personal defense rounds through it, but I thought I was going to have to polish the thing.

Yesterday, by the time i'd finished shooting 2 more boxes of Federal's 85 gr. personal defense loads - the shells had started falling out of the cylinder like the rest of the ammo it shoots. Perhaps this is just a break in issue.

I'm still amazed at the versatility of this gun, and how great the trigger pull is. It's also very accurate with all the other types of .32 ammo it shoots. Good job Ruger!

Probably some burrs or residue in the chambers. I would have given it a quick rub of JB's Bore Paste after the first incident. Glad it smoothed out. I have a Benelli "tatical" shotgun that would grip shells and wouldn't let go after firing. It took quite a bit of polishing with the bore paste to remove the gripping ridges left from the plating job.
