Winchester Mod 97 Take Down 12GA Riot Shotgun with 1942 Dated Barrel
Acquired from the original owner who purchased it new in 1947.
For what it's worth.... From my understanding Winchester had a large inventory of unused parts from their wartime shotgun contracts that were cancelled early. These parts were used post war to build riot shotguns for police, prisons and civilian sales. IIRC the serial numbers were documented from the Winchester receiver finishing room and most if not all dated in the 47 time frame. I am sure there are more knowledgeable folks on these here in the forum than I.
It's a beautiful Winchester Mod 97 Take Down Riot Shotgun from the 1940s.
Shot a few rounds through it when acquired 4 years ago and functioned as expected.
Asking $1200
