They are both assault rifles if used to assault someone.
Point either of them at me and they become equally scary.

And that's exactly what I can't understand... If someone used a .22 to commit a crime... is that not Assult on the victim? Or does it have to look like a tactical black AR?

I'd say that it starts with a generalized term... BAN that TERM! and then later on down the road after the Assault Ban, there's another term used to describe semi automatic, then there's a term they'll use to demand our bolt action... They'll take a mile, once we give them a foot, but right now they only ask for an inch! NOpe! :nono:

That is a new type of lower that came out last year. what you are seeing is designed as a handhold to eliminate the need for a forward grip. They really are a pretty good design if you were to see one in person

It's not a type of lower, it's just a magwell grip. Amazon.com: MWG - Mag. Well Grip by FAB Defense: Sports & Outdoors

It looks pretty silly on a gun with a scope (esp a 3x9 or whatever that is), because that type of grip would generally be used for CQB situations. But to each their own I guess.

The only difference is that the Liberal/Democrats/Socialists want to ban the bottom one first, then the top one.

    +1!!!

The anti-gun people want all of them gone. But they realize they cannot ban everything at once. First they start with the scary looking gun ban. Then they ban all semi-auto rifles and pistols. Then they ban anything that holds more than 5 rounds. Then we are down to single shots. Then we don't have anything.

It's just like eating an elephant...just keep taking one bite at a time.
