    Dear Smith & Wesson or AR gurus,

    Smith & Wesson appears to offer three different skus for the Sport:

    #811036 which has a 30 round mag;
    #811037 which has a 10 round mag;
    #811038 which has a "fixed" 10 round mag;

    Anyone know the difference between the 10 round mag and the "fixed" 10 round mag versions? I know MA, CA and some other commie states limit magazine size, but I'm trying to sort out the difference between 811037 and 811038 models.

    Not sure if the 10 round mag version means they give you a 10 rounder and you can use it in addition to larger surplus or pmags or if you are stuck using only 10 rounders. (and the whole bullet button thing, which I'm certain someone will burn in hell for requiring...)

    Your insights are appreciated, as long as your insight isn't to buy a Panther/DPMS/Bushmaster/<your brand> :D

    Is there a particular reason you want a 10-rd mag? Why not just go with the 30-round SKU?

    The 30rd mag version comes with a detachable 30rd mag and is for those locations that do not limit magazine size, such as Indiana.
    The 10rd version comes with a detachable 10rd mag for those locations that allow detachable mags but limit capacity to 10rds.
    The 10rd fixed version is for those location that do not allow a detachable magazine and limit capacity to 10rds.

    Oh heck, I don't want a 10 rounder, I'd prefer the 30 rounder, but I may have an opportunity to get the 10 round sku at a very good price and if the only difference is I need to buy some larger capacity mags, that would be swell.
