Well got the old models out yesterday, and shot it to my new 617...WOW..They don't make em like they used too!! Have one from 1957 (3 screw) and a 1978,1979 models.....Shoot like a dream compared to the new fulllug stainless model I got for Christmas from the wife...Guess it is gonna be the new Coonkiller this season...and its stainless so I aint gotta worry about it as much!

A man just showed me a "Pre 17" that he thought he might want to sell.His grandfather left it to him.I made him a large cash offer and the next day he told me he had decided to keep it.Wise decision....He might have sold it to me if he had not seen the shaking hands and the naked greed shining in my eyes....

Never seen one with those grips...I like em!
And yes, the old mdels do outshoot the new 617 hands down!
