Full size 1911. I had a .380 and it seemed way to small. It was a nice new Bersa Duo Tone with CT laser sight. I did not feel as safe as I was with my 1911. It has a new and very happy owner and I bought another 1911.
I have a Sig Sauer p228 9mm I would carry if I had to.
Just my opinion though.
The Ruger LCP is the smallest handgun that I trust to get the job done. I carry mine always as a BUG and occasionally as a primary gun, if I just can't carry anything larger.
smallest ive carried was a keltec p32. what a little pea-shooter that thing was. what was i thinking.. cant get rid of it now with all the .380s on the market.
these days my EDC is an LCR .357
Tarus TCP with Crimson Trace. Very comfortable, and accurate. It is a little hard to operate with cold hands though, just my thought on it. My policy is its better to have something small than nothing at all. If you are going to stop carrying because its big and uncomfortable, you might as well get something you will carry.
I like to carry my AMT 380. Bought it many years ago. Not very accurate, but I didn't buy it to take to the range. I use it with a pocket holster that is as big as my wallet (small
Currently carry a S&W Bodyguard .380, and love it. But smaller is what my wife has is a Magnum Research Micro Eagle .380. I've shot it and really enjoy shooting it. It's pretty awesome.
The smallest I carry is my Ruger LCP. I prefer the pocket holster over the iwb or paddle holster. That being said, most of the time I carry a Kimber Ultra Carry II.
