I will soon buy a new long range rifle and I've narrowed it down to the Savage Model 12 LRP and the Model 10 BA Stealth. I am not currently shooting competitively, I really like the 6.5creedmoor round and some of my shooting is at 1000yds+. At this point, I may resort to a coin flip as both rifles have their good and not as good points. Does anyone have any learned advice that I may not have considered?

    Thanks

I was not impressed with my 10ba stealth in 308. It looked great shot well, but it is a bench rest gun. The frame/chassis was too heavy and the barrel to light. The aluminum chassis also held heat enough to warrant gloves on a no shade shooting day, and would deep freeze in the cold. I will have a more traditional stocked precision rifle set up next go round.

Patriot, I'm a KISS guy as well and after Ggreen's comment, I'm leaning more towards the LRP. The aluminum chassis being a heat sink isn't something I had even considered. Thanks
