Thoughts and prayers go out to the individuals involved.

From the video I have seen of the scene, it was a passenger car involved, not an SUV. Initial reports are they were driving southbound through a flashing yellow light and the other driver ran a flashing red light.

Our thoughts go out to everyone involved...Very sad story and as someone who was a firefighter for 15 years I can tell you it was VERY difficult for the fire & EMS personnel on scene working on one of their own. Breaks my heart!

I am hearing through the grapevine that both passed. 21 year old female, drunk, blew through a light and killed the entire crew of medic 50... but the drunk driver gets to live.

    words cannot express.............

If the were taken to a hospital for a blood draw then they refused the on-scene breathalyzer which is odd for a non-drinker to do. I believe you lose your license for a year automatically if you refuse to blow, right?

This crew frequented our ER and it's a terrible tragedy for sure. Thoughts and prayers with the whole EMS community and especially their family.

Lost a brother to a drunk driver back in '76, it never gets easier to hear of these things. God takes them into his heart so they may be closer to ours. Prayers to all the family involved.:(

Sad to hear that an EMT has passed due to an idiot! Hopefully the Medic will survive, however they will be in for a tough battle. My thoughts are with the families of all involved.

    RIP Timothy McCormick

This is terrible news. EMTs/Medics are the salt of the Earth.

I will unleash my revenge on any impaired driver I encounter tonight by sending them straight to the pokey where they belong.

If you are out and about and see a driver you think may be impaired, please dial 911 and report it. You may save a life.
